With the ever expanding business and new opportunities in Iraq, the need for a new form of companies was inevitable. It was only a matter of time until well-know business families such as Kubba and Taha to merge together and create partnerships that can fill that need. This partnership builds over the accomplishments of Taha Group’s “S. Babylon Company” and Kubba Group’s “Credit Construction Company”.

As a result, G. Dijla was created In July 2004 as an Iraqi company to serve the Rebuilding Operation. It deals with contractual works, commercial activities, procurement and consulting services.

After long years of oppression under the previous regime, the existing technological and management skills in Iraq were not ready for the big strides of new developments in standards that were implemented by US and Western companies. G. Dijla will accommodate to such standards by utilizing its long history of experience of The Eastern Company, S.Babylonn Company and financial resources to match the new era.

To achieve this, an agreement was reached with two well known Iraqi banks,

Credit Bank of Iraq and

Commercial Bank of Iraq

to support the potential activities. A start up line-of-credit with the amount of $10 Million is now allocated to G. Dijla to utilize. This puts the company as one of the top qualified Iraqi companies to perform major projects with agreed deferred payments.
